Heart Gallery Adoption Events

The festive parties are attended by potential parents and foster children…toddlers to teens…from throughout the state. They meet and interact in fun, family-oriented environments. These events take place in Albuquerque or Santa Fe at Explora, “Rock the Pit” at Isotopes Stadium with the Lobos, “Adoption Express” on the Santa Fe to Lamy train, and “Home on the Range” at Eaves Ranch.

Many people and organizations make these events possible including: Diane Granito, CYFD; CASA 1st District, Angel Flight, and Adoption Exchange. We extend our appreciation to their staff and volunteers.

Results:

These events are not just for fun…they are potentially life-changing for many of the children who attend.

• Five children (Jasmine, Taylor, Jacob, Eli and Casey) placed with permanent families were adopted following the 2005 Adoption Express.

• Sixteen youth were adopted from the four Events in 2007

• Over 200 youth and adoptive family members attended each event in 2007. 

• In 2008 thanks to funding from the Buckaroo Ball attendance soared to over 300.
