Heart Gallery New Mexico Exhibits

The exhibitions were developed as a means to find a creative way to encourage the adoption of CYFD’s hard to place children those who are teens, pre-teens, mildly disabled, or siblings. As you look at the sampling of the Heart Gallery photographs, you see portraits that capture the personality of foster children who dream of finding a “forever family”.

Sixty to eighty children are represented in Heart Gallery exhibitions yearly with regular updates. Openings take place at the Gerald Peters Gallery in Santa Fe and tour the state. In addition to an annual opening of framed portraits, each of CYFD’s five recruiters now has a current Heart Gallery exhibit to use locally to raise awareness within their regions.

Many foster youth have been adopted thanks to this important message being spread to prospective foster and adoptive parents through photography.
