Public Awareness
Many myths and untruths exist in the public mind about foster children, foster parenting, and adoption. Through public awareness campaigns the Foundation provides facts and reality to replace myths and untruths.
Results:
• Developed permanent Heart Gallery exhibit at Bill and Barbara Richardson Pavilion, UNM Children’s Hospital
• Exhibited Heart Gallery portraits at the Governor’s Gallery at the Round House, December 2007
• Facilitated SunPort presentation to encourage adoption and fostering, January, February 2008
• Displayed Billboard on I-25 courtesy of ClearChannel Outdoor.
• Funded professionally designed mounted posters which are displayed in 25 Wendy's restaurants in Albuquerque and Northern New Mexico to encourage adoption of New Mexico teens. Cooperating agencies include CYFD, Adoption Exchange, Wendy’s Wonderful Kids.
