Knowing that some cares, has the most powerful impact on our foster kids lives. Foster children are protected from the public. The Heart Gallery of NM Foundation serves as a gateway to let you help these most vulnerable children. HGNMF is grateful for any level of support. “Knots of Love” Blanket part
Can you imagine what it is like to be taken away from your home? Join us in making no-sew blankets where each knot tied, is a knot tied with love. The blankets go to children in foster care for comfort and also to “aged-out” foster youth to remind them that they are loved!
Toiletry Drives
We are always in need of toiletries and cleaning supplies. These items go to youth who are aging out of foster care (age 16-21) in order to help them begin their lives as adults and living on their own.
HOPE (Helping Other People Excel) Chest
HGNMF accepts household items to support aged out foster youth set up their homes. HGNMF partners with GiveABQ to provide furniture and larger items. If you would like donate furniture, please contact GiveABQ and mention the Heart Gallery of NM Foundation. GiveABQ will credit HGNMF for use by our aged out foster youth.
Secret Santas
Every year, HGNMF hosts an annual holiday party for aged out foster youth. Youth fill out wish lists that are filled by Secret Santas, volunteers that “adopt” a youth and grant their wishes.
Children, Youth and Family Department (CYFD)
CYFD is extremely busy and is in need of volunteers to help sort through their donations. They also need volunteers to help clean up/sanitize the play stations which are utilized for supervised visitations.
Adoption Events
Adoption events occur quarterly. Volunteers are needed to help make this event possible.
LUVYANM speaker
Join our aged-out youth and share you skills like helping them learn job skills or job opportunities, educational opportunities, exercise class, guest chef etc.
